Developing OASIS OData 4.0 platform

OData is a Web protocol for querying and updating data that provides a uniform way to unlock your data and free it from silos that exist in applications today. OData is literally SQL for the Web. It allows creation of data services on the Web and consuming from them using REST principles and URL conventions. OData represents an important step in the direction towards a more open, programmable web, and is especially important in our rapidly growing cloud-computing marketplace.

You can count big names among early supporters of this open standard, as Microsoft Open Technologies and SAP, proving how important is the data interoperability is today's Internet.

And next to these big names, the small but willing Tirasa is there at Apache Olingo, to turn the OData 4.0 standard into real Open Source implementation; at The Apache Software Foundation, of course, where else?
